2018 The Theoretical Description of the Erythromycin electrochemical determination, assisted by CoO(OH) – Poly(Acridine Orange) Composite

Erythromycin (Fig. 1)[1] is a bacteriostatic antibiotic macrolide produced by Streptomyces erythreus. Erythromycin A is considered its major active component. Erythromycin can be used to treat bacteria responsible for causing infections of the skin and upper respiratory tract, including Streptococcus, Staphylococcus, Haemophilus and Corynebacterium genera. Nevertheless, the administration of erythromycin includes the appearance of different side effects, such as diarrhea, nausea, abdominal pain, and vomiting, common, because erythromycin is a motilin agonist [2]. Thus, the development of the methods of its efficient and rapid sensing is really actual task.
